French Fashion Designers
Inspired by my French Culture studies module, I created a poster based off of the most famous and well known French Designers Coco Chanel and Christian Dior. Personally, I really adore CHANEL's branding. I love the type, the logo, the iconic-ness of how everything all comes together.
Thus, for the headers, I used CHANEL's typeface: COUTURE, and to make it look more contemporary and distressed, I added a gaussian blur and threshold in which to give it that choking effect, followed by displacing an externally sourced texture of grain/ colour halftone effect.
The main goal was to create a poster based off these classical designers with a spin of something rebellious and grungy whilst still mantaining that structure and timelessness in which they represent.
